Give us a call or send us an email...whether you can devote a lot of time of just a few hours a week! We'll take all the help you can give!

admin@wacoairmuseum.org or download Volunteer Form

Phone number: (937) 335 9226

Following are just a few of our "dire need" volunteer positions:

It is a lot of fun!
  • Exhibits Volunteer -- we change our feature exhibits a couple times a year and need help designing and building the new exhibits! We always welcome a fresh set eyes and new ideas!
  • Retired Teachers & Pilots - to teach in our Learning Center Programs.

In this section, we list short-term volunteer opportunities and those related to specific projects. Many wonderful cultural organizations also have ongoing calls for volunteers. To find organizations that fit your interests, check out our Guide to Arts & Culture in the Dayton Region.

AUDITIONS

Beavercreek Community Theatre

Auditions for The Humans

Audition Dates: November 11-12, 2019

Additional Info: After a sleepless night, Erik Blake has brought his family from Pennsylvania to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter’s new apartment. As darkness falls outside the crumbling pre-war duplex, mysterious things start to go bump in the night and family tensions reach a boiling point.

Auditions for A Mid-Summer Night's Texas-Sized Nightmare (Youth Theatre)

Audition Dates: January 19-20, 2020 at 7pm

Additional Info: The Armadillo Flats Community Theater has never produced what one would call quality entertainment. Abigail Yokle is trying to direct one of Shakespeare’s great comic masterpieces, but the budget is limited and the rental company sent costumes for every production except A Midsummer-Night’s Dream. Yet Abigail is not about to let the wrong costumes and a lack of talent stand in the way of a bad production.

Auditions for It's Only a Play

Audition Dates: March 2-3, 2020 at 7pm

Additional Info: It’s the opening night of The Golden Egg on Broadway, and the wealthy producer Julia Budder is throwing a lavish party in her lavish Manhattan townhouse. Downstairs the celebrities are pouring in, but the real action is upstairs in the bedroom, where a group of insiders have staked themselves out to await the reviews.

Auditions for If/Then

Audition Dates: April 27-28, 2020 at 7pm

Additional Info: Elizabeth, a city planner, moves back to New York to restart her life in the city of infinite possibilities. When her carefully designed plans collide with the whims of fate, Elizabeth’s life splits into two parallel paths. If/Then follows both stories simultaneously, as this modern woman faces the intersection of choice and chance.

Learn more about auditioning for Beavercreek Community Theatre here.

Brookville Community Theatre

Auditions for The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940

Audition Dates: December 17-18, 2019 at 7:00pm

Additional Info: The team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (in which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious "Stage Door Slasher") assemble for an audition of their new show at the Westchester estate. The house is replete with sliding panels, secret passageways and a German maid; all of which figure diabolically in the comic mayhem which follows when the infamous "Slasher" makes his reappearance and strikes again—and again. When a blizzard cuts off any possible retreat, bodies start dropping, fingers start pointing, and police start bumbling.

Auditions for Blithe Spirit

Audition Dates: February 25-26, 2020 at 7:00pm

Auditions for The Sound of Music
