FilmDayton is a full-service nonprofit film commission dedicated to creating jobs and economic growth by promoting and supporting movie production in the Miami Valley. FilmDayton brings together local filmmakers, students, and fans at monthly “Film Connections” meetings and builds an infrastructure to encourage new filmmaking in the Dayton Region. FilmDayton originated from the DaytonCREATE effort to foster the growth of the “creative class” and strengthen the local economy.
The Historic Plaza Theatre

The Historic Plaza Theatre originally opened in 1919 and remained a community icon for nearly 50 years until it became a western retail store in 1968. Following the closing of the store in 2002, the theatre stood vacant until it was beautifully restored and reopened in 2015. Now, visitors to the theatre can enjoy a diverse range of films from all eras.

The Little Art Theatre is among the most recognizable and beloved landmarks in Yellow Springs, having served that community and the greater Miami Valley since 1929. Well known for its diverse programming that includes important documentaries and small independent films, the Little Art Theatre features comfortable seating, unique concessions, including local craft beers, and iconic houselights from the 1940s.
