Festivals and Fairs

Our region offers a wealth of festivals and fairs of all kinds throughout the year, and all of them provide a variety of arts and cultural features and experiences.

The following list of festivals, fairs, and events include those from organizations who submitted their information to be included in our publication and may not include every event in the Dayton Region. We encourage you to confirm that dates and event details have not changed since the time of publication by checking the website for each event.

APRIL 2026

  • An Art Affair

    Kicking off with an event on Saturday, April 5, this event features over 45 fine art vendors, so shoppers will find a wide variety of beautiful and diverse artwork created by local artists. Patrons can also enjoy the sounds of local musicians, grab lunch from a local food truck, and peruse the permanent art gallery.

    Hamvention, sponsored by the Dayton Amateur Radio Association since 1952, is the world’s largest amateur radio gathering. Visitors can enjoy exhibits, forums, a huge flea market, license exams, live demos, and a long-standing tradition of innovation and community.

  • Spring Fest in the Burg

    Springfest in Miamisburg, established in 2019, is a free community celebration featuring local artists, musicians, and vendors. The festival includes a Maker’s Mart with handmade goods, live entertainment, and supports local scholarships and community projects.

  • Heritage Day with the Dayton Philharmonic

    Heritage Day at Carillon Historical Park, held on Memorial Day weekend, celebrates Dayton’s history with costumed interpreters, family activities, and special programs. The day concludes with an outdoor Dayton Philharmonic performance of classics and patriotic favorites.

    The St. Helen Spring Festival in Dayton is a family-friendly weekend event featuring carnival rides, fair food, bingo, raffles, kids’ games, a book fair, flea market, and a beer garden. Free parking and shuttles make it easy to enjoy the festivities.

    Poultry Days, held for nearly 75 years in Versailles, is a beloved regional festival attracting over 50,000 visitors. The event features rides, games, live entertainment, and a variety of chicken and egg-themed foods, offering fun for families and friends alike.
  • Canal Music Fest

  • CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger
    June 13–14, 2026

  • Germanfest Picnic

  • Ohio Sauerkraut Festival - Waynesville

    Waynesville, OH

    The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival serves 7 tons of sauerkraut and attracts approximately 350,000 visitors each year to browse among the over 450 craft booths and sample the offerings from more than 30 different food booths. It continues to be one of the top quality festivals in the United States, attracting visitors and vendors from every state across the Nation. Vendors come from as far as Hawaii, Florida and California to participate in the festival.

  • Dayton Art Institute Oktoberfest

    A Dayton tradition established in 1971, DAI’s Oktoberfest is southwest Ohio’s longest-running Oktoberfest celebration and the museum’s largest annual fundraiser. Money raised by Oktoberfest helps support everything they do at the Dayton Art Institute.
