Dayton Children’s Hospital just completed their Workplace Giving Campaign. Our creative and enthusiastic Workplace Giving Coordinator at Children’s, Terry Wiegel, planned some great entertainment and staff events to encourage Culture Works donations. On Monday, the very cute and talented McGovern-Ceili dancers danced several Irish dances in the cafeteria. On Tuesday, Springfield musician Terry Van Auker entertained the diners with guitar and singing. Thursday’s event was an amazing vocal performance by Mattison Lyons, the daughter of Children’s staff member Karen Lyons in the Audiology Department. She wowed the crowd with songs from “Les Miserables” and “Pitch Perfect.”
On Friday, the hospital had an outside barbecue for the staff in their courtyard and local guitarist Jim McCutcheon played acoustic guitar for the diners as they enjoyed the beautiful weather over their lunch hours. Terry also encouraged donations by raffling off parking spots, as well as some original artwork in silent auctions. We appreciate her hard work and dedication to arts and culture very much!
