The evening celebrates Culture Works’ annual Campaign for the Arts, now running through June 30. Sing Out Loud! 2025 will be held at the Roger Glass Center for the Arts on Thursday, March 20, at 7:30 pm. Tickets are free to the public but must be reserved at Sing Out Loud Dayton 2025.
“The Sing Out Loud! Community Choir is a celebration of the Campaign for the Arts,” says Curtis Bowman, Culture Works Director of Community of Engagement. “A choir is the perfect representation of the Campaign for the Arts. In a choir, individual voices join to make a glorious sound. In the Campaign, individual and workplace contributions are joined to offer greater impact for the arts.”
“It is truly amazing what happens when people come together for a common cause, says Sing Out Loud! director and conductor Mark Hanson. “What is more joyous than people coming together for this from all walks of life- students, professors, doctors, families, young, seasoned, trained and untrained musicians- uniting for the love of music! This concert has everyone from area choir members to world-renowned musicians, singers in the shower, and opera singers. And the result is what you will experience: exponential resounding joy!”
Sing Out Loud! celebrates the Culture Works annual Campaign for the Arts. Culture Works’ principal grants program unites gifts from individual donors, corporate supporters, and workplace giving campaigns to fund Community Arts Grants. Community volunteers award general operating support to local arts organizations through an open panel application review process. Contributions to the 2024 campaign granted nearly $206,000 distributed to ten arts organizations in the region (Bach Society of Dayton, The Contemporary of Dayton, Dayton Art Institute, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Dayton Performing Arts Alliance, Discover Classical 88.1/89.1/89.9, The Human Race Theatre Company, K12 Gallery & TEJAS, Muse Machine, and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra).
The 2025 Unlock the Power of the Arts Campaign is a call to action. The arts are the heartbeat of the Dayton Region, making the Dayton community a dynamic and inspiring place to live, work, and play. From fostering social connections to preserving our rich history, the arts bring vibrancy to our region and celebrate the stories that make Dayton unique. The key to sustaining and growing our local arts organization is community support. Donations to the Campaign for the Arts help keep the lights on and unlock the power of the arts to ensure a bright future for Dayton’s creative community and the Dayton Region.
