We had two excellent Community Meetings in early June as part of our Cultural Planning initiative, Culture Connects 20/20!  We invited the arts community, elected officials, arts patrons and supporters, and other interested community members to these Community Meetings moderated by Marc Goldring of WolfBrown, Richard Stock of the University of Dayton, and Jane Dockery of Wright State University.   The meetings were held in two beautiful locations:  the Charity A. Krueger Farm at Aullwood, and the Springfield Museum of Art. We couldn’t have asked for a more engaged and enthusiastic group of participants.

Attendees discussed six cultural planning topics:

• Ethnic and Racial Diversity in the Arts
• Artists and Other Creative Workers
• Serving Regional Residents
• Arts in Education
• Adequate and Stable Funding for Arts and Culture
• Cultural Economic Development

The discussions were recorded for the researchers to review for Cultural Planning purposes, and their report will be shared at a future date.
