Culture Works joined our partner publication, Dayton Magazine, for their first “Best of Dayton” Party at the Mandalay Banquet Center last Thursday, November 13th. Finalists in over sixty categories were invited to attend and display their services or products on tables in the banquet hall, and voting for the final winners took place that evening as well. Over 600 people attended this sold-out party!
Culture Works is so honored to be the Non-Profit Recipient for this event.

It was a fun evening with good friends and delicious food. Culture Works had a table where we were able to hand out many copies of the newest issue of A Guide to Arts & Culture in the Dayton Region. Arts and culture was well-represented among the finalists at the event: Terre’s Dance Workshop, South Dayton School of Dance, and the Celtic Academy of Irish Dance all had tables at the event, as well as Rosewood Arts Centre (finalist for Community Arts Center), FiveRivers MetroParks (Fitness Trail and Park Finalist), Dayton History, and the USAF Museum (both finalists for Best Museum).
The food was outstanding! We were pleased to see a table at the event for The Wine Gallery, one of our Passport Participants, as a finalist for Wine Store/Tasting, and a table for McCutcheon Music as a finalist for Music Instruction. Jim McCutcheon often performs for Culture Works at our workplace giving sites during the Campaign for the Arts.
