Passport FAQs
How can I receive a Culture Works Passport to the Arts membership?
You can receive a Culture Works Passport to the Arts with a tax-deductible donation of $85 or more to Culture Works. Click here to make a donation and receive your Passport!
How long until I receive my Passport to the Arts Membership Card?
We process Passport Cards as quickly as possible. You should receive your Passport Card in the mail within two weeks of your donation. This time period may be longer if you donated or pledged via a Workplace Campaign. We will send you a Thank You letter that serves as your receipt for your tax-deductible donation. At the bottom of the letter will be two Passport cards that can easily be punched out for your use. If you make a donation and do not receive your Passport after two weeks, please call us at (937) 222-2787.
How long is my Passport to the Arts valid?
Your Passport to the Arts membership is good for one year from the time your gift is made. It will expire one year after your donation is logged in our system. In the event you make a pledged gift via your company using payroll deduction, your pledge counts as a gift and your Passport card will be processed right away. Your expiration date will be on the front of your Passport to the Arts card. You can renew your membership with a donation of $85 or more, and you will receive an updated card.
What kind of discounts do I get with my Passport?
Your Passport entitles you to Buy One-Get One FREE ticket discounts to many performances by arts organizations in the Dayton Region, discounts at area restaurants and retail establishments, and discounted admissions to local cultural organizations.
How many tickets may I purchase at one time?
Passport discounts apply only to single ticket sales, not to multiple ticket purchases or for season subscriptions. In most cases, your Passport is valid for one discounted ticket purchase per Passport holder per show, although a few of the arts organizations allow more. Some restrictions apply.
I would like to purchase tickets using my Passport. What do I need to do?
How you purchase your tickets will depend on the arts organization and performance venue. Visit our Passport discount page for information on how to purchase specific Passport discounted tickets by performance. By signing up to receive our emails about current Passport performances, you will also receive information on how to purchase tickets. If you are purchasing tickets by phone, inform the ticket agent you are a Passport holder. You will be asked to provide your Passport ID#. When you go to pick up your tickets, you will need to present your Passport card to the ticket agent. When purchasing tickets at the box office, you will need to present your Passport to the ticket agent.
What if I lose my Passport?
Should you lose your Passport, please call Culture Works at (937) 222-2787, and we will be glad to issue you a new card for the remainder of your membership period.
Can I use my Passport at the Schuster Performing Arts Center?
You may use your Passport for arts organizations whose performances are at the Schuster Center as long as they are a listed Passport organization and it is a Passport-eligible event. Both the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Dayton Opera call the Schuster Center home. Many of their performances are Passport events. If you have a question about a particular event, please feel free to call us at (937) 222-2787 and we will be glad to assist you.
What types of restrictions are there?
Passport discounts apply only to single ticket sales, not multiple ticket purchases or season subscriptions. Some organizations have designated Passport seating or restrict the Passport discount to certain performances. Passport discounts cannot be used with any other coupons or special offers. You must have your Passport card present to receive the Passport discounts. Contact the organization presenting the discount should you have other questions. Discounts are subject to change without notice.
